Christmas 2009

Davey getting ready to board the Santa Train in Madison.

Our little family after we got the tree decorated.

My present to Josh was a weekend in Louisville. Here we are dressed to the nines for supper in the revolving room and then off to the Nutcracker.

Walking in to the Santa presents. The tent was set up with his new sleeping bag laid out.

His new horse (he calls it "May"). He hasn't put it down since!

New sleeping bag

New movies from the Mount family.

Playing in Rachael's Tinkerbell tent that Sarah made her. Davey wants one now!

Matching hand-made hats for Dad, Davey, and one for the new baby, too!

What a wonderful time we are all having on our Christmas Break. Even Josh has had last week and this upcoming week off. Though we have all had the stomach bug, we are glad to be relaxing at home staying in our pjs as long as possible.

I think our total was down by one family get-together this year, but our total was 5 anyway! Davey did as best as he could with the combination of lots of presents, lots of people wanting to love on him, and minimal nap time. He got WAY too many gifts and he loves them all! Santa brought him his own camping supplies, a 2 foot styrofoam airplane, and play-doh. At the other Christmases he got some fun games (he is playing the Curious George beach game right now with Josh), lots of Little People, DVDs, a helicopter, and soo much more!

Josh and I ate ourselves into a stupor, but man was it good! We cleaned up the tree mess yesterday and started the transformation back to normal. I started rooting through the baby clothes to see what might be missing from the collection. While there are a couple things I will need to buy, we are in good shape for Baby Boy #2. I am also figuring out which small clith diapers to buy to complete my reusable diaper collection. Eigth more weeks until my due date, so I know this time will fly by so we are trying to use our time off wisely!

I finished my first assignment as a standardized test question writer for the Arkansas Biology State Test. I hope they like the questions I came up with because that could be a nice activity while I am home with the baby this spring.
