6 Weeks to Go!

Time is seeming to fly by...just 5 more weeks of school and then one more week until my due date. This weekend I had a great time with Josh's family at a baby shower. Of course we got 2 more inches of snow that day, but many people were able to come. This coming weekend is another shower for my side of the family. Luckily the room is almost done...which is good because I am running out of places to store baby gifts! Next post I will put some before and after pictures of the room. The transformation is amazing...just like my husband!

This picture is from Friday night when we went out for Valentine's Day. We headed over to Bloomington to one of our favorite restaurants...The Irish Lion! We look very at home there since it is set up like a traditional Irish pub. And a name like Shaw is easily recognized. We had potatoes more ways that you can imagine and enjoyed our time together. We know that a lot of good changes are in the future for us.

We had a little scare this week when my doctor scheduled me for an ultrasound. She was just a little concerned on how small I am and wanted to make sure the baby was growing as he should. To date I have gained about 18 pounds and about 8 inches around. I have been concerned when looking at the other mothers in my prenatal class... The good news is that all is well in the tummy and though he is smashed in there well, he is the correct size for 34 weeks. The best part is that we got a few more pictures of him and a firm confirmation that he is a boy! You can see his Shaw profile in this one. His left hand is on the left side of the photo with the lips near by. Many of the images had his hand in his face. So this is about as good as it gets! It was amazing watching him move around and even make sucking actions. He gets hiccups amost everyday. It is a little weird...but I love every minute of it. I am anxious to finally meet him!

So everything here is well, it is supposed to get up to the 50s down here this week and I can't wait. I am tired of being cold! We haven't been able to go on a dog walk in about 3 weeks because of this crazy weather. I hope that all who read this have a wonderful week!
